Waterproofing Design Principles online course now live!
NSW Governmen’s Construct NSW has now made the Waterproofing Design Principles course available. Our director, Grahame Vile, is on the waterproofing subcommittee who helped bring this course to our screens.
You can learn about the essential design principles to prevent water leaks and leaching in buildings. The course focuses on residential apartment buildings (class 2) but the principles apply to all building types. The course covers:
- common problems with leaking and leaching of water and impacts on consumers and the building industry
- the three design principles of waterproofing and how water behaves
- how to design and build to avoid common waterproofing problems
- three common waterproofing issue case studies demonstrating these principles in practice.
This course is aimed at all practitioners involved in designing, building, certifying, owning or managing apartment buildings. Architects, engineers, designers, waterproofers and other practitioners involved in building design will find this course especially helpful.
Owners and strata managers can also complete this course to better understand what good design should look like when maintaining their building.
